Hi guys,
I bet most of you have learned it (see as title) already. But still, I think it's a big big big news for us. (學校竟然付1million給Big East for exit fee and 2 million給ACC for entrance fee?!?!) 儘管Big East提供較為優渥的financial statement, 據說學校還是為了向"未來"看齊決定加入ACC. (Big East不希望UM和Virginia Tech跳槽不是沒有道理的, 過去十二年的Big East Football Championship有六年UM包辦, 另外三年則由V. Tech包辦......)
UM的sports一直在Big East有著不錯的表現. In the past school year, six of those sports finished play ranked among the top 25; football (2nd), baseball (5th), women’s indoor track (14th), women’s outdoor track (18th), women’s tennis (23rd) and women’s volleyball (23rd). 雖然就項目而言本校有點給它陰盛陽衰, 但是本校在美國三大運動中的football 和 baseball擁有著相當輝煌的記錄卻是不容忽視的.
不管是校友, 同學, 和新生們, 大家一起替UM加油吧! 期待明年會更好!
