**Job Description**

Part-time Research Associate

Job Summary
The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) seeks a part-time Research Associate (15 to 20 hours/week, flexible schedule, USD15/hour). The Research Associate will work primarily with the Statistician of the Committee. This position is based in Washington, DC.

Essential Duties:
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Research, collection and cleaning of data on production, consumption, trade and stocks of raw cotton, in order to maintain timely and accurate statistics on world cotton supply and use.
• Analysis, compilation, presentation and dissemination of statistical data.
• Assisting the ICAC Secretariat in completion of a variety of projects.

Required Qualifications:
• BS or BA in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Statistics or related fields.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and the ability to work with large datasets.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work independently and with initiative.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Several years of work experience.
• Proficiency in Chinese.
